In order to download the documents that have been uploaded to the eTMF during the course of the study, do the following:
NOTE: Professional service assistance may be provided for an additional fee (e.g. full workspace eTMF download for many studies). This will need to purchased with the ADMIN > SUBSCRIPTION & SETTINGS view and worked through with your Client Manager.
- Navigate to the PORTFOLIO > DOCUMENTS view
- Select the Study and the folder/subfolders whose documents you want to download.
- If it is the whole study, then click on the main Study Number folder
- If it is only select folders/subfolders, determine the highest level of folder that you want to include and click on it.
- Click on the "Download Zip" button.
- Confirm by clicking "Yes" that you want to download a zip file of all the documents uploaded under the current folder.
- The system will ask you where you want the zip file saved.
- Once downloaded, use a zip file extractor to extract the file. If you find that the built-in support for zip files on Windows is giving an error, please download/use the free 7-zip.org utility to open the zip file.
- Once the zip file is downloaded and extracted, there will be a Table of Contents File at the top level which will indicate a list of files included and any errors that may have occurred in generating the zip. The zip file will contain all document files, but will not contain empty folders or document records with no attached files.
NOTE: The zip file will only contain the files of the documents uploaded into the eTMF, it does not contain any of the document details that may have been added in SimpleTrials. In order to also obtain these, run one of the Documents CTMS Reports.
